No pressure. No pitch-fest. Just clarity on what's possible and how to get there.

I run these workshops because marketing is something we really struggle with as tutors. We've often had a busy exam season, then that lull before mocks, and it's a bit of a roller coaster — either clients all come at once or we're twiddling our thumbs wondering where everyone went.

Everyone who joins is at a different stage. Some don't have a tuition business yet — it's just an idea. Some are tutoring as a side hustle. Some have made it their whole livelihood. Wherever you are, these workshops will help.

What You’ll Learn

  • In each workshop, we cover the things tutors find hardest:

How to stop undervaluing your groups Most tutors price their services like this: face-to-face 1:1 at the top, then online 1:1 a bit cheaper, then groups cheaper still. That tells parents the group is the worst option. We flip that — and I’ll show you how.

How to niche down (without panicking) If you’re saying “I do maths, English, science, history, French — any level, any exam board” — that’s a recipe for burnout. A friend to all is a friend to none. I’ll help you find the one thing you should focus on first.

How to market without feeling salesy You are a helper, not a seller. At no point should you be saying “buy, sell, here’s the price.” People need to know you, like you, and trust you before they’ll buy from you. I’ll show you how to do that.

How to build a simple funnel Lead magnets, nurture sequences, calls to action — it sounds complicated, but it doesn’t have to be. I’ll walk you through the basics so you can start collecting leads and warming them up.

How to get parents to see the value of groups Parents have knee-jerk reactions to the G-word. “There’ll be 30 kids.” “No personalised support.” “It’s not as good as 1:1.” I’ll show you how to address all of that — before they even get on a call with you.

Perfect for tutors who:

  • These workshops are for tutors who:

    • Want to stop trading time for money
    • Teach any subject (academic, music, languages, SEN — it all applies)
    • Are future-focused and ready for something more sustainable
    • Value structure and strategy over hustle
    • Want to make a bigger impact without burning out

You don’t need to have a group programme yet. You don’t even need to have a tuition business yet. You just need to be curious about what’s possible.

I'm a former Geography teacher (12 years in secondary schools) and I've been helping tutors build sustainable businesses since 2015.

I run these workshops because I know how hard marketing feels when you've spent your career in education. We're not trained for this. We don't like feeling salesy. And most of the advice out there doesn't fit how we actually want to work.

My approach is simple: be a helper, not a seller. Build trust before you ask for anything. Focus on one niche first. And stop trying to appeal to everyone — because a friend to all is a friend to none.

"A friend to all is a friend to none. 🎤 (Yes, that's Taylor Swift.) If you're trying to market yourself as a tutor who does everything — maths, English, science, any level, any age — you're going to burn out. Pick one thing. Be the expert in that. Add more later.."

Client Stories

"Most tutors price their services like this: Face-to-face 1:1 = £50 Online 1:1 = £40 Face-to-face group = £30 Online group = £20 And then they wonder why parents only want the face-to-face 1:1. You've just told them the online group is the worst option. Flip it. Price the group the same as your 1:1 — and show them the value they're getting. That's when everything changes."
